Levio acquires two Quebec-based IT consulting firms
Technology consultancy Levio has acquired Logimethods, a Montreal-based firm focusing on integration platforms, and ERP Connex, a Laval-based company specializing in Oracle ERP and Unit4 implementations.
The acquisitions will expand the firm’s IT capabilities and grow its employee footprint in the Montreal area, where it has more than 300 team members. The deals will grow the firm to more than 900 employees across offices in Canada, the US, and Morocco.
Logimethods was founded in 2002 and focuses on IT architecture, integration solutions, process automation, and cloud migration. The firm’s integration platform partners include IBM, Red Hat, Software AG, and Pivotal.
Logimethods has 35 employees listed on LinkedIn, and has offices in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, and Chicago.
ERP Connex was founded in 1996 and offers consulting services for Oracle ERP and Unit4, advising across implementation, upgrades, and support. The firm has 26 employees, according to LinkedIn.
Levio itself recently partnered with Unit4 – a SaaS platform tailored to professional services firms – to upgrade its operations, finance, and HR functions.
"The arrival of Logimethods and ERP Connex in the large Levio family allows us to consolidate our achievements in digital transformation in Quebec,” said François Dion, CEO of Levio. “The addition of these new skills within Levio, combined with the arrival of Mr. Jean Royer and Mr. Benoit Boivin as managing partners, will allow us to open up new markets. These two organizations represent a unique potential for development, with consultants in niche areas of expertise, which will enhance Levio's already considerable service offering."
The move is part of Levio’s aspiration to be among the largest IT consulting players in the province of Quebec. With high demand for IT advisory work amid the challenges of the pandemic, Levio is planning to add more than 400 new roles in the coming months, including more than 200 positions in its Quebec City headquarters and its Montreal office.
Montreal-based CGI is currently one of the largest IT consulting firms in Quebec, Canada, and the world, with a global footprint of 77,500 professionals across 400 offices.
Upstart Levio, however, has grown rapidly since its founding six years ago, and last year was named the second-fastest-growing company on the Canadian Business Growth 500 ranking.
The firm specializes in advising clients during complex IT implementations, with further offerings in design thinking, app development, IT modernization, systems architecture, and emerging technology, among other areas.
