MNP acquires Microsoft partner Betach Solutions
MNP, a national accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Betach Solutions, a Calgary-based Microsoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) integration consultancy.
Founded in 2003, Betach specializes in custom implementations for Dynamics 365 in the areas of sales, marketing, business central, field service, and customer service. The firm is a Microsoft gold certified partner.
MNP’s acquisition of Betach will strengthen its digital practice, which provides services in advisory, applied data, application development, platforms, cybersecurity, cloud, and managed IT.
As part of the transaction, which closed on October 2, Betach cofounders Lawrence Gordey and Soon Chong will join MNP alongside their team of approximately 35 people.“Recent changes in how businesses need to operate have accelerated the trend of organizations digitizing their businesses to better engage with their customers,” said Sean Devin, national leader of MNP Digital. “We are constantly striving to stay ahead of the curve in how we can best support our clients. Joining forces with Betach Solutions is a strategic move that brings further expertise to MNP’s technology and digital offering right across the country.”
MNP earlier this year acquired Edmonton accountancy SVS Group. The firm’s other 2023 acquisitions include PwC’s St. John’s office; Strategex, a Vancouver-based accountancy; and Sylvain Béland CPA of Shawinigan.
“Joining MNP gives our existing clients access to more resources and a wider range of expertise and experiences – while at the same time providing greater opportunities for our team in one of the leading digital consulting practices across Canada,” said Lawrence Gordey, president of Betach.
