IT consultancy Levio named second-fastest-growing company in Canada
Levio, a Quebec-based IT and organizational consultancy, was named the second-fastest-growing company on the Canadian Business Growth 500 ranking.
Since its founding in 2014, the consulting firm has grown rapidly to employ more than 600 people across offices in Quebec City, Montreal, Sherbrooke, and Toronto. Levio specializes in coaching clients during complex IT implementations, with further offerings in design thinking, app development, IT modernization, systems architecture, and emerging technology, among other areas.
The firm placed second overall in the Canadian Business Growth 500 ranking, which includes public and private companies and is based on five-year revenue growth. Levio’s five-year growth rate was 12,727%, outstripped only by e-commerce retailer Article, which booked 24,182% growth.
Levio president Francois Dion attributed the firm’s success to the stellar professional team it has assembled over its five years of existence. “Since Levio's very beginning, we decided to build our foundation with a team of outstanding consultants,” Dion said. “Our reputation in the market is attributable to the personalities of the men and women who make up our team, their commitment, and their exceptional expertise.”Organizations’ insatiable demand for digital transformation services has obviously also played a key part in the rapid growth of the Quebec consultancy. "We are living in a period of change where technologies are evolving and maturing at the same time,” Dion added. “This provides companies with an opportunity to review their business model to break with conventions, increase productivity, and optimize the customer experience. Those with the courage to invest and embrace change will be among tomorrow's leaders.”
The average Growth 500 firm increased sales by 853% from 2013 to 2018, had $34 million in revenues, and had 136 full-time staff. The overwhelming majority were private companies. More than half were based in Ontario, followed by Quebec (90), BC (69), and Alberta (36).
"The businesses in the 2019 Growth 500 ranking are truly remarkable,” Beth Fraser, a Growth 500 program manager, said. “With their foresight, innovation, and intelligent management, their stories serve as an introduction to the way of building a prosperous, entrepreneurial company today.”
