OpsGuru and Xerris partner to drive cloud migrations in Western Canada
Vancouver-based OpsGuru and Calgary-based Xerris have entered a strategic partnership to offer a made-in-Canada alternative for cloud consulting to clients in Western Canada.
Founded in 2018, OpsGuru helps clients adopt cloud technologies, upgrade workflows to cloud-native designs, and optimize systems for better efficiencies – with offerings across consulting, implementation, and managed services.
The firm is a specialist in Kubernetes, an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. OpsGuru is an AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft partner, and has more than 20 employees across offices in Vancouver, Bucharest, and Tel Aviv.
Calgary-based Xerris was also founded in 2018, and focuses on cloud migration, microservice development, frontend development, and Kubernetes implementation. Xerris is an AWS partner, and has a similar-sized workforce to OpsGuru, with more than 20 employees.
Together, the pair of strategic partners will offer clients in Western Canada looking for digital transformation services an alternative to large, US technology consulting firms.
"Ultimately what this partnership creates is a deep bench of western Canadian technical talent, capable of going toe-to-toe with some of the biggest cloud-focused consulting firms in North America," said Jeremy Tooley, CEO of Xerris. "With the added benefit to our clients that they get to hire local, and deal with an organization that understands the nuances of the western Canadian market."
Anton Mishel, CEO of OpsGuru, added, “Cloud-native by default is the new normal. What our combined forces bring to the table is not only a deep understanding of the app modernization and cloud-focused technology but our respective years of experience shepherding companies through complex digital evolutions."
