Responding to continued demand for its digital transformation expertise, Montreal-based technology and management consulting firm CGI has announced plans to open a new center of excellence in Drummondville, Quebec.

The new center, which will open before the end of the year, will specialize in the delivery of digital transformation and innovation services targeting the finance, retail, and manufacturing sectors. CGI expects the Drummondville center of excellence to create 300 high tech jobs in the next five years.

Drummondville is located about 100 km northeast of Montreal, where CGI has its global headquarters. The city is home to 68,000 people, and is the birthplace of hall of fame hockey players Marcel Dionne and Yvan Cournoyer.

“We are extremely proud to welcome CGI to Drummondville," said Alexandre Cusson, Mayor of Drummondville and President of the Drummondville Economic Development Corp.
