WSP Canada appoints new chief operating officer and chief innovation officer
WSP in Canada last month announced the appointment of Pierre Pichet as chief operating officer and Jazz Pabla as chief innovation officer.
Based in Montreal, Pichet will now oversee all Canadian operations – having joined the firm last year as EVP for project delivery.
Pichet has over 25 years of experience and has held senior executive positions across business transformation, project delivery, and procurement. He previously spent 17 years with SNC-Lavalin, where he held leadership roles in business process transformation, procurement, and project services.
Before that, Pichet spent a decade at Nortel Networks, where he held roles in operations and process management.
He has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Polytechnique Montreal.Based in Kelowna, Pabla will focus on creating and executing WSP Canada’s innovation strategy.
He brings nearly 20 years of experience in IT and digital transformation, with extensive expertise in using technology to foster collaboration within an organization.
Pabla joins WSP from the City of Kelowna, where he spent four years as chief information officer and oversaw efforts to automate key municipal processes. Before that, he was a customer experience manager at the University of Saskatchewan and a technology integration manager at the City of Saskatoon.
Earlier in his career, Pabla was an IT services manager at WBM Technologies and a network analyst at Northern Computer Inc.
