WSP Canada appoints Ben Holland as chief financial officer
WSP, a Montreal-headquartered engineering consulting firm, has appointed Ben Holland as chief financial officer of its Canadian division, effective August 31.
Based in Montreal, Holland will oversee corporate accounting, plan and manage budgets, and work with the Canadian executive team on long-term business strategy.
Holland has more than 30 years of experience in infrastructure and project governance. He most recently spent five years as CFO of WSP New Zealand.
Holland joined WSP through the firm’s 2017 acquisition of Opus International Consultants, a New Zealand-based engineering consultancy. Holland spent 19 years with Opus, serving as general manager for commercial and major projects and director for service excellence.
Prior to Opus, Holland spent six years as a civil engineer at Mott MacDonald.
He has a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Birmingham in the UK.
“Ben’s extensive experience both in the industry and in our company make him an excellent addition to our Canadian Executive Team. We’re excited to welcome him to our team here in Canada,” said Marie-Claude Dumas, president, WSP Canada.
WSP earlier this year appointed Corina Moore as chief growth officer for Canada and David Sauvé as EVP for transportation and infrastructure, Canada.
“WSP has strong foundations, exceptional people, and significant opportunities ahead, and I look forward to building on that momentum with colleagues across the country,” said Holland.
WSP has approximately 83,000 professionals globally, including 12,500 in Canada. The firm provides engineering, science, and advisory services for projects in transportation, infrastructure, environment, buildings, energy, water, and mining and metals.
