GBLT Corp. (TSXV: GBLT), a Dueren, Germany-based lighting and battery company, has retained Virtus Advisory Group, a Toronto-based consulting firm, to create and implement a strategic corporate communications program to increase the company’s visibility with stakeholders and investors in Canada.

GBLT is the official licensee of Polaroid LED and other lighting technology, Polaroid residential and mobile energy storage systems, and AgfaPhoto batteries. The firm also offers private label battery and LED technology, using the same factories as well-known A-brand manufacturers.

GBLT, through its operating company GBT GmbH, wants to capitalize on the growth of stationary and mobile lithium storage market, which is projected to reach US$8.54 billion by 2023, as well as the LED lighting products market, which is expected to reach US$110 billion this year. Through its licensing agreement with Polaroid, the company believes it can offer a brand alternative to Philips, Osram, and GE.

GBT is currently focused on launching its line of energy storage products in Europe and North America, while pursuing large commercial lighting projects.
