BDO Canada acquires Geneva Merger & Acquisition Services
BDO Canada has acquired Geneva Merger & Acquisition Services, a boutique M&A advisory firm based in Toronto.
Geneva was founded in 1998 and specializes in representing owners selling companies valued between $3 million and $100 million. The firm delivers turnkey services from initial evaluation to packaging, to sourcing multiple buyers and negotiating a successful closing. Geneva also assists with raising new financing, and represents purchasers on a selective basis.
The company has conducted successful transactions in a wide range of industries encompassing manufacturers, distributors, and service companies.
BDO’s acquisition of the firm strengthens its M&A advisory business with the addition of deep mid-market experience.

BDO’s M&A practice serves mid-market clients across the country, with services that include acquisition strategy development, acquisition advisory, preparation for sale, and private company divestitures.

The company also this month acquired Lixar, an Ottawa-based AI and data consultancy with more than 200 employees.
