Alvarez & Marsal adds Damian Peluso to Canadian transaction practice

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M), a New York-headquartered management consulting firm, has hired Damian Peluso as a managing director in its transaction advisory group (TAG) in Toronto.

Peluso brings more than 20 years of experience advising public and private companies on due diligence, M&A, and strategic growth. He has particular expertise in supporting owners, families, and entrepreneurs with succession planning and divestitures.

Peluso has managed hundreds of mid-market and large transactions across the automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, and food services industries.

Peluso most recently spent five years as a partner at KPMG, where he served as national private enterprise deals leader and national automotive leader.

Before that, he spent 27 with PwC, where he was a partner in the transaction services group.

Peluso has a graduate diploma in professional accounting from York University and is a chartered professional accountant.

A&M earlier this year welcomed Patrick Daoust as a managing director in its TAG practice in Montreal. The TAG practice is the largest transaction advisory practice outside the Big Four accountancies, with over 1,100 professionals across 40 offices globally.
