Adastra again named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies
Adastra, a Toronto- and Prague-headquartered IT consulting firm, has been named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the 24th consecutive year.
The annual awards recognize private Canadian companies with revenues in excess of $50 million that are leaders in strategy, culture, capabilities, innovation, governance, and financial performance.
Canada’s Best Managed Companies are evaluated by an independent panel of judges with representation from program sponsors and special guests.
“Best Managed is a prestigious award that recognizes the significant and ongoing contributions within Canada’s business landscape,” said Ruby Williams, Canada’s Best Managed co-leader. “Companies such as Adastra who attain this high standard of excellence demonstrate consistent adaptability, versatility, and strategic acuity.”
Adastra says that in the last year it has helped numerous clients build AI tools to run more efficiently. The company has also strengthened its partnership ecosystem – achieving an AWS premier partner tier status, earning all Microsoft AI specializations, and having eight team members receive a Databricks solution architect champion badge.
Adastra also expanded industry practices in finance services, manufacturing and automotive, energy, telecom, healthcare, and retail and CPG though the hiring of experts and development of targeted solutions.
“This year has been transformative for Adastra,” said André Nadeau, CEO, Adastra North America. “Carlyle’s majority stake in our company gives us the capital and partnership to expand through organic growth and targeted M&A.”
Carlyle Group, a US-based private equity firm, last year acquired a majority of Adastra.
The consulting firm was founded in 2000 and has 2,200+ employees across North America, Europe, and Asia. Adastra has expertise in data engineering, analytics, and governance, as well as cloud enablement, security, AI, IoT, application innovation, and managed services.
