Deloitte expands GenAI capabilities in Omnia audit platform

Deloitte has announced expanded generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) capabilities in Omnia, Deloitte’s global, cloud-based audit and assurance technology platform.

The new GenAI-based features include enhanced documentation review, improved navigation of financial statements, summaries of information across documents, drafting capabilities for audit-related communications and memos, improved research capabilities, and identification of potential audit risk factors.

Deloitte is also integrating AI agents that can coordinate amongst themselves, perform specific tasks, and remember relevant information.

Deloitte has been heavily investing in its internal AI capabilities. The Big Four accountancy has rolled out purpose-specific LLMs and chatbots to support its nearly 85,000 audit and assurance professionals, as well as an employee-wide GenAI chatbot that has run 3 million prompts in its first year of use.
