MNP buys insurance advisory firm Sterling Park Financial Group

MNP, a national mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Sterling Park Financial Group, a boutique, Toronto-based insurance advisory firm.

Founded in 2005, Sterling Park specializes in insurance and tax planning solutions for businesses and affluent families. The firm’s offerings include pre-funding estate taxes, intergenerational transfer-of-wealth planning, liquidity solutions for estate plans, and strategic philanthropy solutions.

The firm has seven professionals, including partners Zak Goldman and Jonah Mayles, who together have nearly 40 years of experience in insurance, estate, and tax.

The Sterling Park team will join MNP’s Toronto insurance services team and bolster the firm’s family services offerings. Goldman and Mayles will join the accountancy as partners.

MNP is headquartered in Calgary and has 8,900 people across 150+ offices nationwide, including three offices in Toronto.

The firm’s family office practice has offerings in financial roadmap, transition management and succession planning, and family legacy.

MNP recently acquired Talent Flex Conseil, a boutique human resources consulting firm located in Montreal.
