Octave Maecenas, a Montreal-based executive search firm, has joined Stanton Chase, an Austin, Texas-headquartered executive search and leadership consulting firm.

Octave Maecenas will rebrand to Stanton Chase Montreal and expand the firm’s Canadian footprint, which spans offices in Toronto and Calgary.

Octave Maecenas was founded in 2015 by Michael Lavoie and Paul Theriault. Lavoie has over 20 years of executive search and recruiting experience, and was previously a partner in the executive search practice of Drakkar and a senior recruiting consultant at Adecco. Theriault has 14 years of executive search and recruiting experience, and was previously a senior advisor at Pauzé Group and a recruitment director at Hureca.

The boutique firm has six employees, according to LinkedIn.

“Welcoming Paul, Michael, and their team to Stanton Chase feels like a real milestone for us. Their track record in finding exceptional talent for Montreal's business community speaks for itself. We're honored they've chosen to join us and can't wait to see how their expertise will benefit our clients. This is a big step for Stanton Chase in Montreal, and we're thrilled about the possibilities ahead," said Kristof Reynvoet, Stanton Chase's global chair of the board.

Founded in 1990, Stanton Chase has more than 350 consultants across 70+ offices in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

The firm provides services in executive search, executive assessment, board services, succession planning, and executive onboarding to clients in a range of industries. Stanton Chase has depth of expertise in various functions, including C-suite, HR, supply chain, finance, IT, sales and marketing, and ESG.

"As part of Stanton Chase, our consultants will continue serving the Montreal market with the same discipline, rigor, and excellency. We are excited for the growth opportunities this merger presents," Theriault said.
