Aecom adds Zuliana Mawani as VP and ops manager for GTA water business

Aecom, a global design and engineering consultancy, has hired Zuliana Mawani as vice president and operations manager for its water business in the Greater Toronto Area.

Mawani will provide leadership in areas including staff management, project oversight, and client relations management.

Mawani is a design engineer with more than 20 years of experience in water consulting – with a focus on municipal wastewater treatment. She has deep expertise across process evaluation, optimization and plant modeling, and process and mechanical design, and has worked on complex water treatment projects across Ontario.

Mawani rejoins Aecom from GHD, where she spent over three years and served as water and wastewater operations lead and then as business group lead. Before that, she spent over six years at Jacobs, where she held leadership roles in operations, business development, and project management.

Earlier in her career, Mawani spent a decade at Aecom, where she was a wastewater process engineer.

She has a master’s degree in water resources engineering from the University of Waterloo and is a professional engineer.
