CIMA+ adds Louise Lalonde to board

CIMA+, a Laval, QC-headquartered design and engineering consulting firm, has appointed Louise Lalonde as an independent director on its board. The firm also announced it received a Women in Governance Parity Certification (Bronze).

Lalonde’s appointment brings the CIMA+ board to seven members, four of whom are women. She will serve as administrator and chair of the audit committee.

Based in Vancouver, Lalonde brings more than 35 years of experience in accounting and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) consulting. She previously spent over 25 years at PwC, where she was a partner in the risk and regulatory consulting practice. Lalonde also previously served as director of enterprise risk management at Magna International and chief risk officer and chief auditor at the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.

CIMA+ also announced a bronze-level parity certification from Women in Governance, an organization which was created via pro bono support from McKinsey & Company. Certification requires a thorough diagnostic of an organization’s position on the gender parity spectrum as it pertains to strategies (culture and commitments) and actions (communications, policy, and programs) and the results they yield.

Organizations with a platinum certification include Mercer, Accenture, National Bank, and Sanofi.
