Alithya Group hires new CFO, opens office in Pickering, ON
Montreal-based strategy and digital consultancy Alithya has brought aboard Claude Thibault as Senior Vice-President and CFO. Thibault has over two decades of experience as chief financial officer at numerous firms. The consultancy also announced the opening of an office in Pickering to better serve its nuclear energy clientele.
Alithya is a leading Canadian strategy and digital consulting firm. The company provides a comprehensive suite of strategy and technology consulting services to a wide range of industries, as well recruitment and staffing services. Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Montreal, the consultancy employs more than 1600 professionals across eight offices in Canada, as well as three locations in France.
With Alithya on the edge of going public, the firm has hired Claude Thibault its new chief financial officer and senior vice-president in the important transitional period. Thibault has more than two decades’ worth of experience serving in a CFO capacity at numerous organizations, both public and private.

This is a critical time in Alithya's history as we prepare to take our company public.”Thibault has high-level financial leadership experience in the high-tech, manufacturing, distribution, services, and multimedia industries. Prior to joining Alithya, Thibault served as CFO at construction services firm Group DCM, manufacturing and distribution-focused Nuera Group, multimedia firm Mediagrif Interactive Technologies, pharma sector communications firm Aptilon, and entertainment industry firm Malofilm Communications. Thibault has also held senior financial positions at Shell and Merrill Lynch. Early in his career, Thibault was a Senior Manager, Corporate Finance, at Big Four firm KPMG.
Thibault holds an MBA from McGill University, and a B.Comm. in Accounting from l’Université de Montréal. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant with a corporate finance (C.F.) qualification.

New Pickering office
Last month, the consulting firm opened a new office in Pickering, Ontario. The company is a leading provider of consultancy services to the Canadian Nuclear Industry – including engineering and applications services for controls, safety systems, inspections, and cybersecurity. The Pickering location offers closer proximity to the two nearby generation plants in Pickering and Darlington.

The opening of the new Alithya office on June 7 was attended by Mayor of Pickering Dave Ryan, as well as Glenn Jager, President, Nuclear, at Ontario Power Generation.
