New Pickering office

Last month, the consulting firm opened a new office in Pickering, Ontario. The company is a leading provider of consultancy services to the Canadian Nuclear Industry – including engineering and applications services for controls, safety systems, inspections, and cybersecurity. The Pickering location offers closer proximity to the two nearby generation plants in Pickering and Darlington.

“The opening of our new office strengthens our commitment to the energy sector and the local community,” commented Ed Mischkot, Vice President, Energy at Alithya. “Our experience in nuclear spans almost four decades and ranges from architecting and implementing complex technology systems to delivering Machine Learning and Analytics solutions. By expanding our footprint, we can now serve our customers better, and continue to support innovation.”

The opening of the new Alithya office on June 7 was attended by Mayor of Pickering Dave Ryan, as well as Glenn Jager, President, Nuclear, at Ontario Power Generation.

“It is important for us to recognize the ongoing commitment of supply partners such as Alithya, who provide innovative solutions to the nuclear industry across the province and to Ontario Power Generation (OPG),” said Jager. “With a local office now open in Pickering, we look forward to ongoing collaboration as the industry continues to evolve.”

Alithya has delivered hundreds of projects in the energy industry, and has supported every Canadian nuclear generator – including OPG.
