MNP has welcomed three partners – Khalid Amlani, Sean Akeroyd and Cara Pavlakovic – from Harbourside CPA, a Vancouver-based accounting and consulting firm.

Amlani, Akeroyd, and Pavlakovic bring a combined 30+ years of experience providing accounting, tax, and consulting services to the Vancouver market. The trio were previously part of boutique CPA firm Akeroyd Leung Amlani, which merged with Buckley Dodd in 2020 to form Harbourside CPA. They also previously worked together at DMCL Chartered Accountants.

Amlani, Akeroyd, and Pavlakovic and their team will move to MNP’s Vancouver office, where they will work with the national accountancy’s existing teams.

“We are excited to welcome in Khalid, Sean, and Cara and their team members into the MNP family,” Dan Trotter, regional managing partner for Vancouver at MNP, said. “Our cultures and values are well-aligned, and we share the same entrepreneurial, trusted approach to doing business."

The move builds on previous MNP expansions in BC, including its purchase of Deloitte’s Prince George practice and Chun & Co. in 2019, and its acquisition of Fort St. John-based Schwab & Associates in 2020.

MNP earlier this month bought Fidelity Factory, a Calgary-based IT consultancy focusing on Microsoft Power Platform projects.

Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Calgary, MNP provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to mid-market clients across Canada. The firm has over 7,000 employees.
