MNP buys Kelowna’s Chun & Co. after Deloitte Prince George acquisition

The move follows on the heels of MNP’s acquisition of Deloitte’s Prince George, B.C. practice. The transaction saw an office team of 21 join the MNP team in the Northern B.C. city, including four new partners. MNP plans to combine the team into one Prince George location in the future.

Deloitte’s Prince George office had roots going back to 1913, and had been under the Deloitte umbrella for 40-plus years.

"We have continued to see strong growth in the northern B.C. region. Prince George and the surrounding communities were identified as key locations with diversified economy offering opportunities to support our strategic plans for growth and express our commitment to the Northern B.C. marketplace," said Darren Turchansky, MNP's EVP of the B.C. region.

MNP has more than 20 locations in B.C., and more than 80 across Canada. The firm has over 5,000 employees in the country.

“MNP offers the best of both worlds – the scope and services of a national firm together with the culture, personalized approach, and community commitment of a local office. We know joining MNP will be a good fit for our clients and our team and we are optimistic about the future," said Cindy Thomson, a new MNP partner in Prince George.
