MNP has acquired Fidelity Factory, a Calgary-based IT consultancy focusing on Microsoft Power Platform projects, effective August 1, 2022.

Founded in 2011, Fidelity Factory helps clients leverage Power Platform’s low-code tools to modernize workflows stuck in email, spreadsheets, and legacy technology. A Microsoft Gold Partner, the firm delivers strategy, training, and development services for the platform’s Apps (app building), Automate (robotic and digital process automation), and Virtual Agents (chatbots) solutions.

Fidelity has approximately 25 people across offices in Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto.

MNP’s acquisition of Fidelity will strengthen the firm’s Power Platform offering with its digital practice. Fidelity co-founders Sean Panter and Rem Saparco will join MNP’s digital practice alongside 23 team members.

“The pandemic accelerated the trend of organizations digitizing their businesses to better engage with their customers,” said Sean Devin, national leader of MNP’s digital practice. “We are constantly striving to stay ahead of the curve in how we can best support our clients. Joining forces with Fidelity Factory is a strategic move that brings further expertise to MNP’s technology and digital offering right across the country.”

MNP says its digital practice is one of the fastest-growing parts of its business. The Calgary-headquartered firm has more than 7,000 people across 125+ offices in Canada providing accounting, tax, and consulting services.

The transaction builds on MNP’s other digital firm additions, including Digital Embrace, a Toronto-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 specialist; Next Digital, an Edmonton-based managed IT services firm; and T4G, a Toronto-based applied data company.

“Being part of MNP Digital will offer our clients access to a more complete set of services, and our team a greater set of opportunities for growth,” Panter said. “We will create new services and strategies for our clients as part of the MNP team and continue to deliver the same services in the Power Platform space that we’ve already found success with.”
