McLarens buys Toronto-based MGB Claims Consultants, Inc.

McLarens, an Atlanta-based consulting firm specializing in loss adjusting and claims, has acquired Toronto-based MGB Claims Consultants.

Founded in 2010, provides services in complex commercial claims adjusting to international insurers throughout the North American market. The firm has deep expertise investigating and adjusting insurance claims in property and casualty, professional and commercial general liability, medical liability, cyber, environmental, energy and natural resources, and film and entertainment.

MGB also has a third-party administration practice that offers solutions in claims, information, captive insurance, trust account, and litigation management to clients in the North American and London markets.

The firm has more than 25 professionals across Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver.

McLarens has a core offering in claims management, serving the areas of property and casualty, catastrophe response, crisis management response, and cyber. The firm also offers related services in forensic accounting for insurance claims, as well as risk management consulting in due diligence, loss analysis, emergency planning, airport assessments, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) assessments.

The Atlanta-based firm further has an environmental consulting practice that provides testing and consulting for indoor air quality; asbestos, lead, sewage, and chemical assessments; and industrial hygiene and occupational health.

Finally, McLarens also provides third-party administration services.

The firm has more than 1,200 employees and operations across 41 countries.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
