RSM Canada expands into BC, opens Vancouver office
RSM Canada has opened its first British Columbia location with the announcement of a new office in Vancouver.
The new office will support mid-market clients on both sides of the Canada-US border with services in audit and tax, management and technology consulting, digital transformation, and transaction advisory. RSM will aim to support Pacific Northwest clients in the TMT, industrial, consumer, financial services, real estate and construction, and government sectors.
"As a champion of Canada's middle market, we're excited to bring our tailored audit, tax, and consulting services to some of Canada's most dynamic and fastest-growing businesses in the Vancouver region,” said Harry Blum, national managing partner of RSM Canada. "With its strong talent pool and thriving industry base in sectors such as technology and trade, Vancouver represents the perfect region for RSM Canada to expand its strong network.”
The firm plans to add 150 employees in its Vancouver office over the next three years.
RSM Canada was formed in 2017 from the Collins Barrow Toronto firm. The company expanded further with the addition of Collins Barrow offices in Red Deer, Edmonton, and Calgary.
The Vancouver office is the first organic market expansion for the firm, which has approximately 600 professionals nationwide.
RSM in the last year launched new practices for the public sector and life sciences, appointing Doug Kroetsch and Danny Ladouceur to lead them, respectively.
The Toronto-headquartered firm also in December named Kate Phillips as national business development leader and Ben Gibbons as national consumer products industry leader.
