MNP acquires ERP consulting firm Mantralogix
National accounting and consulting firm MNP has acquired Mississauga-based Mantralogix, an ERP software and IT consultancy.
Consultancies across the world are continuing to double down on digital services, as companies seek avenues to unlock greater efficiencies and performance through technology.
Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software allows companies to streamline and automate back office functions related to finance, supply chain, human resources, marketing, and other areas. Many of the top products, such as SAP S4/HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, now leverage cloud and AI technology to further enhance client operations.
Businesses often call in consulting firms to help them select the right ERP product and support its implementation and management.
Mississauga’s Mantralogix supports clients with cloud and on-premises ERP, accounting, construction, and CRM software, as well as a range of IT and enterprise software solutions. Founded in 1996, the company partners with the Acumatic and Sage family of ERP solutions, building and supporting solutions that address sales, finance, and operations, among other areas.
The Mississauga Board of Trade recognized Mantralogix as Mississauga Small Business of the Year in 2015, and Mississauga’s Employer of the Year in 2016.
Mantralogix has now been acquired by MNP, as the accounting and consulting firm looks to further deepen its technology consulting offering. The deal, effective July 1, will expand MNP's consulting offering into the sphere of cloud and on-premises ERP software.
"In this dynamic environment the needs of Canadian companies are always evolving, so we are constantly working with our clients to better understand how we can best support them," Jeremy Cole, EVP for MNP's Ontario, Quebec & Atlantic region, said. "Adding the Mantralogix roster of services and their exceptional team into the MNP fold only strengthens our ability to do that.”
The transaction will see Kerry Mann, Mantralogix’s president and CEO, and Jess Mann, COO, join MNP as partners, bringing with them a team of 20 professionals.
"MNP already has a thriving technology solutions practice and was looking for a values-aligned firm to build on its strategic plans for growth, while expanding its service offerings to include cloud and on-premise ERP,” Jess Mann said. “At the same time, we wanted to expand our service capabilities while offering other specialty accounting and consulting services to our valued clients."
The Mantralogix team will remain at their Matheson Blvd. E. office at present, though plans are in place to eventually move the team to MNP’s Mississauga office at the Sussex Centre, Square One. MNP currently has 75 offices across Canada, with 4,500 employees supporting clients in the areas of accounting, tax, and consulting.
The firm’s acquisitions last year included accounting firm Collins Blay and public sector consultancy 4Plan Consulting.
