Andrea MacDonald joins BDO as assurance partner in Toronto
Andrea MacDonald has joined BDO Canada as a partner in its assurance practice, where she will serve as national leader for fund assurance and private equity.
Based in Toronto, MacDonald brings more than a decade of experience working with financial institutions – with a focus on asset management, mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity, and real estate.
She joins BDO from KPMG, where she spent 12 years and was a partner. MacDonald also previously spent six years in industry, working with asset management firms in the mining and real estate sectors. She spent four years at Slate Asset Management, where she was a director and controller, and two years at Waterton Global Resource Management, where she was director of financial reporting.
MacDonald has a bachelor of business administration and an accounting diploma from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a chartered professional accountant.
