BDO hires Brenda Toles as partner in business services outsourcing

BDO Canada, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has hired Brenda Toles as a partner in its business services and outsourcing (BSO) practice in Winnipeg.

Toles brings more than 25 years of experience providing audit, review, compilations, and tax services – including compliance, estate planning, and tax planning for personal and corporate clients. She has worked extensively with privately owned companies across industries such as manufacturing, construction, IT, real estate, and retail.

Toles joins BDO from ONBusiness Chartered Professional Accountants, where she spent the last two years as a partner. Before that, she spent a decade with EY, where she was an associate partner providing assurance, advisory, and tax services to private mid-market clients.

Earlier in her career, Toles spent 17 years with Brooke & Partners Chartered Accountants, where she was a senior manager.

She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Manitoba and is a chartered professional accountant.

BDO’s BSO practice provides outsourced offerings in payroll, cloud accounting, financial reporting and tax filings, people advisory, and CFO and controllership services.

BDO earlier this year acquired GrantMatch, an Oakville, ON-based government grant advisory services firm.
