BCG Platinion, BCG’s Technology Operations subsidiary, launched in the US in 2014 and is now expanding its North American operations with a new office in Canada. The Toronto office will be led by BCG veteran Fabrice Lebegue, who rejoins the firm after a brief stint at telecom company Cogeco.

BCG Platinion has announced that its first Canadian office, located in Toronto, will be headed by firm veteran Fabrice Lebegue. Prior to rejoining The Boston Consulting Group family, Lebegue was briefly Cogeco’s Corporate Vice President in Technology, a role which he held for a little under a year. Previously, he worked at BCG from 2007 until 2015, joining as a Senior Principal and rising to the level of Director. Lebegue’s previous roles include: Associate Partner at IBM, where he was a Technology Strategy and Architecture Leader in the firm’s Financial Services practice for a year; President and Partner at Via Strategies for almost a year; Consulting Practice Director at BEA Systems for five years; Software Engineering Specialist/Sales Account Manager at Rational Software (IBM) for two years; and Senior Software Engineering/R&D Consultant at ALTEN for two years, where he started in 1996.

Fabrice Lebegue holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computational and Applied Mathematics from ENSEEIHT (l‘École Nationale Supérieure d’Electrotechnique, d’Electronique, d’Informatique, d’Hydraulique, et des Télécommunications) in Toulouse, as well as a Master of Science in Digital Communications Systems from l’École Polytechnique de Montréal.

Fabrice Lebegue, Managing Director - BCG Platinion

BCG Platinion is the firm’s wholly-owned Technology Strategy Operation subsidiary, which was founded in Germany by BCG in 2000. The North American-based operation of Platinion was established in 2014, and is led by Philip Panaro. The BCG subsidiary recently announced that it is expanding into Canada because of strong demand for its strategic ICT consultancy services in the country. The firm has hired Lebegue to lead the Platinion Toronto office as a Managing Director. In addition, he will hold a seat on the firm’s North American Executive Team and lead its Digital Transformation practice. In addition to its North American and German operations, BCG Platinion also has a hub in Italy.

“Thanks to the rapid growth and success of BCG Platinion, we are formally expanding our geographic footprint in North America,” commented the company’s North America CEO Philip Panaro. “Canada is a critical market for future growth in the execution services we provide for technology, digital, and risk, and we are excited to grow our presence there.” Panaro added that the firm is “thrilled” about Lebegue returning to take a new leadership role.

Lebegue echoed, “I’m delighted to be returning to BCG Platinion to help extend our North American reach and build the business, which is growing rapidly. We see a lot of potential to extend BCG’s capabilities across the Canadian market.”

Panaro concluded, “Having a permanent Canadian presence will enable us to better serve our existing clients and become better known to prospects throughout Canada.”
