Slalom promotes Iaan McAullay to managing director for Calgary
Slalom, a Seattle-headquartered management and technology consulting firm, has promoted Iaan McAullay to managing director and leader of the Calgary market.
In his new role, McAullay will set the Calgary office’s strategic objectives, oversee client relationships, and drive financial performance. Since launching in 2021, Slalom’s Calgary office has added over 50 team members and grown revenues through client wins in energy, aviation, and transportation.
“Calgary is an emerging hub for technology and innovation, and Slalom is proud to invest in this vibrant Canadian city," said Wayne Ingram, president of Slalom Canada.
"McAullay's promotion reflects his outstanding contributions within Western Canada and his remarkable ability to drive growth and success," Ingram added. "His leadership and business acumen have been instrumental in shaping our Calgary market's trajectory and solidifying our position as a trusted partner for organizations across industries."
McAullay has more than 17 years of experience in leadership and strategic management in technology and consulting, with expertise across service delivery, project management, and client services.
Before joining Slalom in 2021 as a senior director, he spent over a decade at IBM, where he was latterly an associate partner in the energy industry practice. He also previously spent three years at IT consultancy Long View Systems, where he was director of service delivery.
"I am honoured and excited to take on the role of Managing Director, leading Slalom Calgary," said McAullay. "I look forward to continuing to drive growth, innovation, and value for our clients and our team across Western Canada."
Founded in 2001, Slalom expanded into Canada in 2016 with a Toronto office, subsequently adding locations in Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary.
The consulting firm has grown rapidly in recent years, with nearly 12,000 people across 49 offices in eight countries. Slalom had approximately 6,500 employees in 2019, prior to a pandemic era hiring boom.
