Management and technology consultancy Slalom has opened a second Canadian office with the launch of a Vancouver location this month. The Vancouver office is the firm’s fourth international outpost.

Seattle-based Slalom entered Canada with a Toronto office in 2016, led by Canada general manager Wayne Ingram. Having seen solid growth for its technology consulting services, the firm decided the time was right for an expanded presence in Canada.

“After successfully launching in Toronto, we thought carefully about the next big step in our Canadian expansion,” Ingram said. “Vancouver was the perfect fit for our solutions and services. It’s one of the largest and most diverse trade areas in Canada, with a great mix of industries. It’s also a booming hub of technology and innovation, with many of our top technology partners expanding their presence in the city.”

The new Slalom office is located at 595 Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver, and will actively be actively recruiting strategy, technology, and data talent in the coming months.

The company is also establishing a Build centre in Vancouver, joining previously launched centres in Toronto and several US metropolises. Slalom’s Build centres deliver a “build as a service” offering that helps clients create cloud-native software and technology products. The centres’ 1000 builders combine design, engineering, analytics, and automation to develop custom tech products.

The Vancouver launch arrives on the heels of the firm’s expansion into Manchester last month. The Manchester, UK office hopes to employ 200 staff by 2025.

Slalom expects to continue expanding across the US, UK, and Canada, with plans for entry into further markets in the future. The consultancy, founded in 2001, began its international expansion plans in 2014 with the opening of its London office.

“With every new market, Slalom extends its mission to help clients across the globe reach for and realize their visions,” Ingram said.

Slalom currently has more than 6,500 employees, with 23 US locations in addition to its four international offices.
