Nous Group adds principals Kelly Rowe and Tessa Dehring to Toronto office
Management consulting firm Nous Group has added two principals – Kelly Rowe and Tessa Dehring – to its Toronto office, bringing its total number of Toronto-based principals to six.
Rowe was appointed a principal in December, while Dehring was named a principal in July 2021 and is relocating from Nous’ office in Melbourne to Toronto in March.
Rowe has more than 15 years of strategy, policy, and consulting experience focused on the public sector.
Since joining Nous in 2020 as a director, Rowe has led several engagements, including a project with Laurentian University to review its operations/governance and a project with the Ontario Government to drive adoption of an enterprise digital tool.
Before Nous, Rowe spent three years at EY working on public-facing management consulting engagements. Prior to entering consulting, Rowe held strategic advisor roles at all three levels of government.
She has a doctorate and a master’s degree in political science and government from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Spain and a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from York University.
Dehring is an organizational psychologist with expertise advising on organizational strategy, culture, transformation, operating models, workforce, and leadership.
She has been at Nous for ten years and co-leads the global organizational performance and leadership practice. Her consulting work includes helping several Australian universities drive organizational performance and leadership improvements and working with Australian government departments to design learning and development strategies.
Dehring is a registered organizational psychologist and a fellow of the College of Organizational Psychologists in Australia.
“Kelly Rowe has delivered a lot of value to our government and university clients, helping them to transform and modernize, and Tessa Dehring has played a transformative role in lifting performance and enhancing leadership capability for organizations in Australia,” said Tim Kennedy, head of Nous Group’s Toronto office, which opened in 2019. “Their appointments indicate the experience of our 700-strong team of consultants, which is increasingly being invited to be trusted advisers to governments, universities, and not-for-profit organizations in Canada as they seek to realize a bigger idea of success.”
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Sydney, Nous has 700 employees in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Canada.
The firm advises on strategy, digital, data and analytics, public policy, organizational performance, and leadership and talent. Nous Group serves clients in financial services, government, and government-adjacent sectors – such as utilities, human services, health, defence, infrastructure, and education.
