Nous Group opens Vancouver office

Nous Group, a Melbourne, Australia-headquartered management consulting firm, has opened an office in Vancouver.

The firm – which primarily supports clients in government, healthcare, and higher education – expanded into Canada in 2019 with the opening of a Toronto office.

Nous today has over 700 people across Australia, the UK, and Canada providing consulting in strategy, digital, data and analytics, public policy, organizational performance, and leadership and talent.

The new Vancouver office will be led by Ray Messom, a principal who joined the firm last year as leader of the Canadian health & ageing practice.

“Since relocating to Vancouver a year ago, I have been overwhelmed with the response from the market,” Messom said. “The key issues we’re seeing Canadian clients grapple with are not always uniquely Canadian. More often than not there are lessons to be learned and insights to be adapted from the experience of operators and policy makers in other Commonwealth countries. This is a key benefit driving demand for our consulting services, particularly in healthcare and higher education.”

Messom will be supported by director Nathalie Mejia as they grow the Vancouver office’s team and operations.

Nous Group's Canadian client roster includes the British Columbia Provincial Health Services Authority, Alberta Ministry of Health, Ontario Ministry of Health, and dozens of Canadian universities and colleges.

“Our Toronto team has been working with clients coast-to-coast since 2019 but over the last 12 months, demand for our specialist healthcare and higher education expertise has grown exponentially,” said Tim Orton, CEO and managing principal. “We’re excited to further invest in our capacity to meet that demand while expanding our physical presence across the country.”
