Strategy& appoints four new partners in Canada
Strategy&, the strategy consulting arm of PwC, has appointed four new partners in Canada: John Samkoe, Nissa Mohomed Shariff, William Sammons, and Chris Casey. All four are based in Toronto.
John Samkoe (energy & utilities) has 20 years of consulting and industry experience in the energy sector. Samkoe advises Fortune 500s on their most pressing corporate and business unit needs, including efforts in energy transition.
Before joining Strategy& Samkoe spent over a decade at Enerflex, a global provider of energy infrastructure solutions, including gas processing, compression, power generation, and refrigeration. He latterly served as operations sponsor for merger integration and general manager for production and processing.
Samkoe has an MBA from the University of Alberta and a bachelor’s degree in industrial systems engineering from the University of Regina.
Nissa Mohomed Shariff (government & public sector) has over 15 years of consulting and financial services industry experience. She specializes in providing consulting in M&A, strategic partnerships, corporate finance, and business development to clients in healthcare, education, and financial services.
Prior to joining Strategy& in 2012, Shariff was an associate at JP Morgan. She has an MBA from The University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in public policy studies and public health from Duke University.
William Sammons (private equity & pensions) has a decade of experience in asset management and strategy consulting, with expertise across areas including emerging markets, alternative asset management, M&A, cost reduction, operations, and business development.
Prior to joining Strategy& earlier this year, Sammons spent seven years at Alpha FMC, where he was latterly executive director for asset and wealth management consulting in North America. Before that, he was a senior consultant in Sapient Global Markets’ investment management practice.
Sammons has a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies from Trinity College-Hartford.
Chris Casey (industrials) has more than 16 years of consulting and manufacturing industry experience across strategic planning, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, M&A, turnaround, and manufacturing excellence.
Prior to joining Strategy& this year, Casey spent 11 years in Accenture’s strategy practice, where he was a partner. Before that, he was a senior consultant at Roland Berger. He began his career at Ford Motor Company, where he held roles in engineering and manufacturing.
Casey has an MBA and HBA from Western University and a manufacturing engineering technologist diploma from Niagara College.
