EY buys customer consultancy Blackdot

EY has acquired Blackdot Consulting, a Sydney, Australia-headquartered customer transformation consulting firm.

As part of the deal, Blackdot’s 64-person global team will join EY member firms in Australia, the UK, and Canada.

Founded in 2001, Blackdot provides consulting in customer-centric transformation, customer and channel strategy, customer journey activation, commercial excellence, and customer technology adoption. The company focuses on serving clients in financial services, health science, media and communications, and professional services. Blackdot’s roster of clients includes Bayer, Deutsche Bank, Samsung, and Newscorp.

The deal follows EY Canada’s 2021 acquisitions of Resolution Inc., a Montreal-based consulting firm focusing on anti-money laundering, and Sumo IT Solutions, a Toronto-based provider of ServiceNow platform consulting services.

EY Canada provides audit, tax, and consulting services and has more than 3,300 employees nationwide. The EY network of independent country firms has more than 312,000 people globally.
