Ben Kosic joins Capco's Toronto office as partner and insurance head
Ben Kosic, an experienced financial services management consultant, has joined the Toronto office of Capco as a partner. Kosic will lead the consulting firm’s Canadian insurance sector practice.
Kosic brings more than 20 years of Canadian market experience in roles within client acquisition, sales, and project delivery.
He joins Capco after spending eight years as president and CEO of Canadian National Insurance Crime Services (Canatics), a non-profit anti-fraud organization representing eight of Canada’s largest insurers. At Canatics, Kosic developed a national consortium strategy to fight insurance fraud through the use of cross-insurer data and advanced analytics. He also oversaw design and negotiation of membership and funding, staff development, contracts, and outsourcing.
Before that, Kosic spent more than four years as a partner in KPMG Canada’s IT advisory business. He also previously spent two decades at Chartwell IRM, an information management and business transformation consultancy, where he was latterly CFO and partner.Kosic has a bachelor’s degree in engineering science from the University of Toronto and a corporate director’s ICD.D designation, and is a licensed professional engineer, certified management consultant, and certified fraud examiner.
“We are excited to welcome Ben to the leadership team as a new Partner,” Gary Teelucksingh, CEO of Capco’s Canada business, said. “Ben will guide our insurance practice and leverage his extensive and highly in-demand fraud mitigation expertise and data and analytics experience to the benefit of our clients in Canada and globally.”
Capco, which has approximately 5,000 global consultants, was last year acquired by India-based IT consultancy Wipro. The London-headquartered company provides a wide range of management and technology consulting services to clients in financial services and energy.
The firm earlier this year welcomed Pushpak Das Purkayastha as a client partner based in New York City.
