Capco launches new office in Calgary

Capco, a UK-headquartered management and technology consultancy, has launched a Calgary office.

The new office, which will focus on the energy and utilities sector, joins a previous Canadian office in Toronto. Capco specializes in advising financial services and energy sector clients.

The new office will serve existing clients in Alberta as well as capitalize on new opportunities to provide digital transformation and transaction services in the region. It will be headed by Dave Arnot, who has 20+ years of energy industry and consulting experience in Alberta – including with AltaGas, Odyssey NRG, Trafigura, and Publicis Sapient.

The Calgary office will draw on Capco’s global resources in AI-driven transformation, commercial and trading systems, modern data architectures, program and project governance, and cybersecurity.

Capco’s energy consulting practice has more than 2,000 consultants and a strong footprint in the US, UK, and Brazil. The practice works with clients in utilities, trading and risk management, energy transition, retail and wholesale energy, oil and gas, and midstream.

Our focus in Calgary will be on high-quality advisory services and supporting the pivot to new technologies,” said Chris McNeely, partner and global energy lead at Capco.

Capco has approximately 7,000 employees worldwide. The consultancy was acquired by Indian IT giant Wipro in 2021 for US$1.45 billion.
