MNP buys Quebec-based consulting firm Groupe Trigone
MNP, a national mid-marketing accounting and consulting firm, has acquired Groupe Trigone, a Saguenay, QC-based management consulting firm.
Founded in 1993, Trigone provides a wide range of performance improvement services to companies in Quebec. The firm’s consulting offerings span strategic management, continuous improvement and innovation, business intelligence, marketing and sales, talent development and training, and human resources.
MNP’s acquisition of Trigone will add 21 professionals in Saguenay, Montreal, and Quebec City to its consulting business in Quebec. Claude Riverin, president and founder, and Carole Messaoudi, CEO, will join MNP as partners.
Trigone’s France operations are not part of the transaction, which is expected to complete in March 2021."In these unprecedented market conditions, companies are now, more than ever, looking for ways to operate more efficiently and continue to grow," said Jonathan Banford, MNP's regional managing partner for advisory and consulting services in Quebec. "To achieve this, it is imperative for organizations to focus on performance. The TRIGONE team offers a unique approach to performance enhancement, by harmonizing strategy, processes, technology, and people solutions to help generate tangible results.”
The acquisition continues the Calgary-headquartered firm’s expansion in the province in the last year. MNP in February 2021 added 500 Deloitte team members in Quebec in a deal that added more than 20 offices across the country. The firm in December bought Babin Consultants, a valuation consultancy focusing on healthcare practices, as well as accountancies Eric Duguay CPA and Duke CPA Inc.
MNP entered the Quebec market in 2011 and today has more than 114 partners and 900 team members across 23 offices in the province. The firm has more than 7,000 people across 125+ locations in Canada.
