RSM Canada hires Tom Amerongen as head of Microsoft practice
RSM Canada, a mid-market focused accounting and consulting firm, has hired Tom Amerongen as leader of its Microsoft practice.
Amerongen will be responsible for leading and expanding RSM Canada’s Microsoft practice, including business applications (Microsoft Dynamics), modern workplace, and Azure solutions.
He brings more than 20 years of experience delivering enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and business applications solutions to enterprise and mid-market clients.
Amerongen previously spent eight years at Vancouver-based IT consultancy Sierra Systems (now NTT Data), where he was leader of the national Microsoft Dynamics practice. Before that, he spent five years at Ideaca (now Hitachi) where he was national CRM consulting practice leader.Amerongen also previously co-founded and served as consulting director at iFusion Solutions, a Vancouver-based Microsoft Dynamics specialist. Earlier in his career, Amerongen was an ERP consultant at KPMG and Deloitte.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alberta.

RSM Canada is headquartered in Toronto, and has further locations in Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, and a newly opened office in Vancouver. Launched earlier this year, the Vancouver office hopes to add 150 employees in the next three years. The firm currently has approximately 600 employees.
