Accenture names Elizabeth Boright as Alberta managing director

Management and technology consulting firm Accenture has named Elizabeth Boright as its Alberta managing director.

In the role, Boright will lead the firm’s business in Calgary, Edmonton and the rest of the province. She will focus on “bringing innovation to clients, attracting top talent and strengthening Accenture's impact,” according to a release from the firm.

Boright will continue to be based in Calgary, and continues in her role as a managing director in the technology practice, where she serves clients in energy, utilities, retail, and public services. During her more than two decades at Accenture, Boright has led numerous business transformation programs in a range of industries. She has also held roles in client leadership, delivery, and sales.

For the last five years, Boright has also been the executive sponsor of Accenture’s Life @ Calgary program, which runs events and learning opportunities to improve the employee experience at the office. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from McMaster University.

The Ireland-headquartered firm – which provides a full suite of offerings in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations – has 5,122 employees in Canada. Globally, the company has more than 500,000 employees in 120 countries.

Last year Accenture was picked as the top performer in market intelligence firm IDC’s assessment of the Canadian digital services market. The firm is also a consistently lauded top workplace, and was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers 2020.
