Raymond Chabot partners with National Bank and BDC to provide Operio solution
Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, the Quebec-based counterpart of Grant Thornton Canada, has teamed with National Bank of Canada and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to offer the Operio solution to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The mobile and web platform provides entrepreneurs with integrated cloud accounting and growth advisory services, as well as access to banking and financing services.
Launched in 2017, Operio enables entrepreneurs to delegate daily admin and accounting tasks to an intuitive, integrated, and secure mobile platform. The platform also offers small business owners access to the expert growth advisory support of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton – which has a network of 2,500 accounting and consulting professionals across (mostly) Quebec.
Operio further links up users with personalized financial management assistance and access to financing, provided by partners National Bank of Canada and the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC). National Bank is the sixth largest commercial bank in Canada, and the largest bank in Quebec. Meanwhile, BDC is the only bank exclusively focused on entrepreneurs, with its investment arm BDC Capital offering equity and venture capital to small and medium-sized firms."Entrepreneurs are very important to National Bank,” commented Stéphane Achard, Executive Vice-President, Commercial Banking and Insurance at National Bank. “We firmly believe that they will find Operio very beneficial. The platform includes several tools that will lighten their daily workloads and allow them to track their operational performance in real time."
BDC Executive VP of Financing Pierre Dubreuil added, “As a bank devoted exclusively to entrepreneurs, BDC is continually seeking innovative ways to improve timeliness, quality, and the user experience of its banking services. Operio is well aligned with this approach. It also provides businesses with strong financial and accounting management that's essential for long-term success."
By combining the banking and financing capability of National Bank and BDC with the accounting and consulting expertise of Raymond Chabot on the easy-to-use Operio platform, SMEs gain a powerful, integrated tool for managing and growing their business. The tool has already seen rapid adoption among Quebec entrepreneurs, and the strong network of partners is expected to continue driving its growth.
"By combining the strengths of our three organizations, we are able to develop a digital offer that meets entrepreneurs' needs. They will now have access to customized, specific, and advanced expertise to support their growth every step of the way," said Pierre Garant, President of Operio and partner and national assurance leader for Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton.
