Clariti Strategic Advisors adds Lewis Bateman as managing director
Clariti Strategic Advisors, a Toronto-headquartered investment banking and strategic consulting firm, has hired Lewis Bateman as a managing director focusing on financial services clients.
Based in Toronto, Bateman is a financial services executive with more than 20 years of experience originating, structuring, and executing corporate transactions.
He most recently spent three years as CEO of Spirit Blockchain Capital, a digital asset management firm, where he oversaw a strategic transformation and realignment of the firm’s capital structure. Before that, he spent two years as chief strategy officer at digital asset broker Voyager, where he led public equity raises and a large cross-border acquisition.
Between 2015 and 2018, Bateman founded and led Sphere Investment Management, an independent asset management firm, which he scaled to $54.5 million in initial AUM before a strategic sale of assets.
Before that, he was managing director of business development at Horizons Exchange Traded Funds and TMX Group. Bateman began his career as an equity sales trader at Merrill Lynch.
He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Toronto and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from America College of Switzerland.

Clariti was founded in 2017 and provides services in strategic counsel, M&A advisory, IPO readiness, unsolicited bid preparedness, and capital structure optimization, as well as private capital through its subsidiary Clariti Capital Markets.
The firm has more than 20 professionals listed on its website and has worked with clients such as Air Canada, CN Rail, Rogers, Royal Bank, and Torstar.
