BDO welcomes Ingrid Holbik as assurance partner in Toronto
BDO Canada, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has hired Ingrid Holbik as a partner in its assurance practice in Toronto.
Holbik brings more than 20 years of experience providing accounting, audit, and advisory services to Canadian, US, and multinational companies. She has worked with clients across manufacturing, mining, technology, professional services, and life sciences.
Holbik has deep expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and regularly advises clients on complex financial reporting and securities regulatory requirements.
She joins BDO from Doane Grant Thornton, where she spent nearly 20 years and was a partner. Holbik was also previously a manager for external reporting and accounting policy at Ontario Power Generation and an accountant at Tino-Gaetano & Carusi.
She has a bachelor of business administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a chartered professional accountant.
“Ingrid’s proactive, tailored approach will help our clients navigate complex requirements with confidence, strengthening financial reporting and supporting sustainable growth at every stage of their business,” said Mark Zastre, partner, national capital markets and public company services leader, BDO Canada.
BDO recently bolstered its Toronto office with the addition of Ram Balakrishnan as a partner in the risk advisory services practice and Warren Leung as a partner in the financial advisory services practice.
