F2 Strategy expands Canada presence with acquisition of Intelligo Partners

F2 Strategy, a Chicago-headquartered wealth and asset management industry consulting firm, has acquired Intelligo Partners, a Toronto-based wealth and asset management industry consulting firm.

Founded in 2012, Intelligo provides advisory, implementation, and ongoing support services for investment technology platforms. The boutique firm has helped many of Canada’s leading investment organizations execute complex technology transformations.

Intelligo is led by partners Tom Hong, Gilbert Lew, and Alkarim Allarakhia, and has a team of eight people listed on LinkedIn.

The Intelligo deal will strengthen F2’s footprint in Canada. The firm established its presence in the country via the April acquisition of Meradia, an investment management operations and technology consultancy with offices in the US and Canada.

F2 has bolted on at least seven firms since it became a portfolio company of Renovus in June 2023.

“Canada represents one of the most important growth markets for our business, and organizations across the region are investing in the platforms and capabilities needed to support the next generation of asset and wealth management,” said Ryan Beach, CEO of F2. “Intelligo brings deep implementation expertise, trusted client relationships and a founder-led culture that closely aligns with our own.”

F2 was founded in 2016 and provides consulting, research, and managed services to wealth, bank and trust, and asset servicing verticals. The firm’s offerings include IT vendor selection, operating model design, data strategy, AI deployment, technology implementation, M&A advisory, compliance and risk, and marketing.

F2 has more than 200 employees listed on LinkedIn.

“Joining F2 represents an exciting opportunity for our team and our clients,” Hong said. “We’ve built our business by helping asset and wealth managers solve complex technology challenges with practical, client-focused advice and delivery. As part of F2, we’ll be able to offer clients broader transformation capabilities while continuing to deliver the personalized service they expect.”
