BDO hires Scott Schaefer as partner in Kitchener-Waterloo

BDO Canada, a mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has hired Scott Schaefer as a partner in its personal debt solutions practice in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON.

Schaefer brings more than 25 years of experience providing individuals and families with debt solutions grounded in technical insight. He previously spent 24 years with Hoyes, Michalos & Associates, a licensed insolvency trustee firm, where he was a trustee.

Schaefer began his career as an accountant at PwC.

He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a chartered professional accountant, licensed insolvency trustee, and chartered insolvency and restructuring professional.
