Aptum appoints Jeremy Pease as CEO

Aptum, a Toronto-headquartered cloud managed services and consulting firm, yesterday announced the appointment of Jeremy Pease as chief executive officer.

Pease succeeds Ian Rae, who has led the firm since August 2023. Rae will support the leadership team through the transition process.

“Leading Aptum has been a privilege,” said Rae. “We’ve built strong momentum together, and I have every confidence in the team that’s taking it forward.”

Based in Austin, Texas, Pease served as chief operations officer of Aptum between August 2019 and June 2020. He has more than 25 years of technology experience, with deep expertise leading data centre and cloud infrastructure businesses.

Pease rejoins Aptum from IT infrastructure firm Hivelocity, where he spent the last two years as CEO. Before that, he spent two years as CEO of Colohouse and two years as SVP for managed services at DataBank Ltd. Earlier in his career, Pease was COO of Contegix and an EVP at Indisoft LLC.

He has an associate degree in business from the University of Phoenix.

“I am thrilled to rejoin the Aptum team as the company is experiencing significant momentum within the business. At a time when technology services are becoming highly transactional, we at Aptum are fully committed to being there to support and engage our customers throughout their cloud journey,” said Pease.

Aptum also announced three senior leadership promotions. Sarah Jessika Blanchard has been promoted to chief financial officer, Adam Nelson has been promoted to chief operations officer, and Marc-Alex Forget has been promoted to chief revenue officer.

“The promotions of Sarah Jessika, Adam, and Marc-Alex are the result of their dedication, diligence, and commitment to the mission of Aptum and the experience and excellence they have in their respective areas. They have united to form a leadership core that is second to none. That leadership will drive the company to the next level,” said JP Rosato, operating partner at DigitalBridge.

DigitalBridge is a Boca Raton, Florida-based investment firm focusing on digital infrastructure. It acquired Aptum in 2019.

Aptum was founded in 1996 and has 170+ employees listed on LinkedIn. The firm has operations across North America and Europe.

Aptum provides managed services in private cloud, public cloud, infrastructure-as-a-service, cloud security, and network management, as well as consulting services to help clients plan, design, implement, and optimize complex IT projects and cloud migrations.
