EY Canada launches Pointing North national innovation platform
EY Canada has launched Pointing North, the Big Four firm’s new platform for innovation insights, storytelling, and conversation.
Anchored by an annual flagship print and digital magazine, Pointing North focuses on the people, ideas, and technologies shaping Canada’s economic future and connects them with the decisions leaders need to make today.
The 2026 edition of the magazine is 92 pages long and features 52 small- and medium-sized enterprises as well as seven "city spotlights" that highlight regional innovation hubs and local leaders. Pointing North’s curated mix of thought leadership is business-first, decision-focused, and grounded in market reality, EY says.
Aside from the magazine, Pointing North is aiming to be a platform for connection, driving client conversations and curated executive gatherings nationwide. EY says it isn’t looking to prescribe answers but is instead seeking to convene leaders and surface perspectives that help move Canada forward.
The 2026 edition’s theme is “From recalibration to readiness.” According to EY, the stories in the issue reflect a tech community that is increasingly confident, outward looking, and determined to lead.
“This is Canada’s moment to think bigger and build bolder. Create collaboratively and innovate powerfully. Stay friendly, but compete fiercely. Pointing North exists to catalyze that shift,” said Warren Tomlin, managing partner, technology, media & entertainment, and telecommunications, EY Canada.
