HKA hires Farzad Moosavi as director in Montreal
HKA, a risk and disputes consulting firm, has hired Farzad Moosavi as a director in its construction, claims, and expert services practice in Montreal.
Moosavi brings 20 years of experience in leadership, planning, schedule delay analysis, and project controls for major capital programs in the infrastructure, transportation, energy, and industrial sectors.
He has advised owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams on risk, performance, and project governance, and has served as a subject matter expert on schedule assessments for major programs across the globe.
Moosavi’s notable engagements include 4D planning for a $40-billion nuclear program, planning and time management services for multiple $1-billion light rail programs, and delay analysis for disputes exceeding $100 million in claimed value.
“Farzad brings deep, multidimensional expertise in planning and schedule delay analysis to some of the most demanding sectors in global construction,” said Maged Abdelsayed, partner, HKA. “His ability to untangle complex project performance issues, guide integrated planning efforts, and deliver clarity on high-value disputes further strengthens HKA’s leadership in project advisory and forensic schedule analysis.”
Moosavi joins HKA from AtkinsRéalis, where he spent the last seven years and was a deployment director in the project controls practice. Before that, he spent three years with Bombardier, where he was a project controls manager.
Moosavi has a master’s degree in construction engineering and management from Concordia University and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Azad University of Tehran.
“I’m thrilled to join HKA’s highly regarded team and contribute to its renowned work in project delivery and dispute resolution,” Moosavi said. “I look forward to applying my expertise to support clients navigating today’s increasingly complex project environments and further strengthen our position as one of the leading consultancy and advisory service providers internationally.”
HKA has more than 1,100 people across 45 offices in 17 countries. The firm supports construction and energy sector clients with services in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, expert witness, and litigation support.
HKA earlier this year welcomed Darcy Holderness as a director in its construction, claims, and expert services practice in Calgary.
