MNP acquires firms in Quebec and Saskatchewan

MNP, a national accounting and consulting firm, has acquired MLSG, a Montreal-based CPA firm; Boisvert & Chartrand, a Joliette, QC-based CPA firm; and Green Finance, a Regina-based external finance advisory firm.

MLSG was founded in 1988 and provides assurance, tax, and advisory services to SMEs in the Greater Montreal area.

Pierre Morin, Christos Govas, and Sophie Deguire, who will join MNP as partners, supported by their team of professionals.

The MLSG team will join the MNP Laval office after the acquisition closes on January 19.

Boisvert & Chartrand is led by partners Guillaume Hénault, Audrey Ducharme, Simon Fafard, and Serge Thibodeau and has 30 staff members. The firm provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to private enterprises in the Lanaudière region.

Boisvert & Chartrand’s Joliette and Saint-Félix-de-Valois offices will form MNP’s second and third office locations in Lanaudière. Calgary-based MNP entered the region in 2023 with an office in Berthierville.

MNP has 36 offices, 234 partners, and over 1,500 team members across the province of Quebec.

Founded in 2014, Green Finance provides services in fractional CFO and controlling, management and project consulting, financial accounting, bookkeeping, Indigenous tax preparation, and personal tax preparation.

The Regina-based boutique firm works with clients in potash, energy, agriculture, municipal government, not-for-profits, and First Nations.

Before founding his company, Randle Green spent 14 years with potash miner The Mosaic Company, where he was senior manager of finance for North American potash operations.
