BDO hires Elaine Hultzer as assurance partner

BDO Canada, a national mid-market accounting and consulting firm, has hired Elaine Hultzer as a partner in its assurance practice in Toronto.

Hultzer brings more than 25 years of experience in financial reporting and assurance, having led audit quality inspection teams across Canada, Australia, and Taiwan.

She has extensive experience supporting financial services companies with navigating complex audits and strengthening risk management.

Hultzer joins BDO from Deloitte, where she was a partner and global leader of IFRS 17 auditability.

Hultzer has a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and is a chartered professional accountant in Ontario and a chartered accountant in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.
