MNP acquires firms in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec
MNP, a Calgary-headquartered mid-market accounting and consulting firm, this month announced the acquisition of Shaun Raymond US Tax Services, a Vancouver-based tax consultancy; Tierney, Simpson & Prytula, a Kingston, ON-based chartered professional accounting firm; and 4CPA, a Gatineau, QC-based chartered professional accounting firm.
The Shaun Raymond acquisition finalizes on November 1, 2025. The boutique Vancouver firm was founded in 2014 and helps clients maintain compliance with US and Canadian tax laws and minimize tax exposure.
Shaun Raymond Mohammed and his team of twelve staff will join MNP.
“Shaun and the entire Shaun Raymond U.S. Tax Services team share our passion for supporting British Columbia’s business community. Their expertise will help us reach and support more organizations across the province. We are excited to welcome them into the MNP family,” said Jameel Sayani, MNP’s managing partner for Fraser Valley and regional managing partner for BC tax.
The Tierney, Simpson & Prytula transaction finalizes on November 3, 2025. The Kingston firm provides assurance, tax, and advisory services to small and medium businesses in the city and surrounding area.
Partner Joe VanNiedek and eight team members will join MNP’s Kingston office.
“Like our existing team focused on the mid-market in Kingston, they have a deep understanding of the region and a focus on helping small and medium businesses grow. By bringing our two teams together, we will be even better positioned to support our growing clients in this dynamic business community with a wide breadth of services,” said Jeff Hanley, MNP’s regional managing partner for Southeastern Ontario.
The 4CPA deal closes on October 1, 2025. The Gatineau firm provides assurance, tax, and advisory services to small and medium businesses and government organizations in the National Capital region.
Partners Mathieu Bernier, Matthieu Gagnon, and Pierre-Yves Lemieux, as well as 10 staff, will join MNP. The team will remain at their current office and form MNP’s second location in Gatineau.
MNP entered the National Capital region in 2014 and has grown the local team to 21 partners and 150 staff.
“We are very happy to welcome the 4CPA Inc. team to our Firm. Like our existing team focused on the National Capital market, they have a deep understanding of the region and a focus on helping small and medium businesses grow. By bringing our two teams together, we will be even better positioned to support our growing clients with a wide breadth of services in both official languages,” said Michael Dimitriou, MNP’s regional managing partner for Ottawa-Gatineau.
