Englobe, the engineering consulting arm of Colliers, has acquired LRL Associates, an Ottawa-based engineering firm.

Founded in 1984, LRL provides multidisciplinary engineering services for buildings and development projects in the public and private sector. The firm has 45 people across offices in Ottawa, ON; Pembroke, ON; and Moncton, NB.

Englobe’s acquisition of LRL will strengthen its ability to serve the infrastructure market in the National Capitol Region.

The deal is Englobe’s fourth acquisition in 2025. The firm in June announced the acquisition of Cambium, a Peterborough, ON-headquartered engineering and environmental consulting firm with over 200 employees.

“This agreement enhances our current capabilities and allows us to reaffirm our vision of achieving our full potential in the National Capital Region and Atlantic Canada through collaboration with like-minded partners," said Mike Cormier, president of Englobe. "We’re delighted to welcome LRL President Christian Robichaud, his leadership group, and the entire LRL team into Englobe’s growing Canadian platform."

Englobe is headquartered in Laval, QC and has more than 3,400 people across 60+ offices in Canada. The firm provides services in engineering, design, inspection, environmental consulting, and remediation.

Colliers, a major commercial real estate services firm, acquired Englobe in 2024.
