SLR, a UK-based environmental and sustainability consulting firm, has acquired Powerhaus Consulting, a Toronto-based electrical engineering and design consultancy focusing on renewable energy solutions.

Since its founding in 2018, Powerhaus has worked on 200+ projects in Canada and the US, primarily in utility-scale solar farms, battery energy storage systems, EV infrastructure, and overhead distribution connections.

“Powerhaus’ vision, technical expertise, and client focus align perfectly with our commitment to advancing sustainable infrastructure and how work together to bring value and expertise to our clients,” said Craig Johnston, managing director for Canada at SLR. “Together, we look forward to enhancing our service offerings, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the path to a more sustainable future.”
